There are certain occasions when, as a music blogger, you have to just stand up and applaud a new artist for making such a bold, uncompromising statement with their first ever track. Step forward New York singer Fletcher, whose debut release, 'War Paint', knocked us for six a few short months ago. A fluorescent sugar-rush of booming drums and glossy vocal hooks, 'War Paint' marked Fletcher as a serious one-to-watch, and she's already some way to fulfilling our prophecy with her second sweet cut, 'Live Young Die Free'. Fletcher keeps it fresh feeling, despite hardly straying from the perfect pop formula found on 'War Paint'; there's more careening drumming, more jubilant choruses and more powerhouse vocal parts - hell, we could listen to this all day.
